Nacho Review Close to Home

I took the boys to the city for a little shopping for school clothes and a movie before summer ends and we get really busy.  We ate at the Green Mill near the movie theater and as I was looking at the menu trying to decide what to order, my son reminded me that I am blogging and rating nachos.  Oh boy, what was I thinking?  I will never be able to order another thing off the menu.  Well, I said yes, I better order nachos if I am really serious about this. ($6.99)    I told the boys these would make a perfect date night in college.  They can take their girlfriends here and share some nachos and drink some delicious lemon water and there ya go.

The Nachos at the Green Mill are called Alamo Nachos.  They have barbecue flavored chicken and huge servings of sour cream and guacamole. Black olives and melted cheese are included and they come with a side of pretty spicy salsa.  The only thing I did not like were the chips,  They appeared to not be homemade and even though they were thick, they did not seem crunchy. My son asked “Where are the chips?  They were mostly on the bottom with the toppings piled on top and not mixed throughout.

I  would give these nachos a 7.5 .They tasted really good and the barbecue flavored chicken really added a unique taste.
